This NWN module is a conversion from my pen and paper city Finmark. The map was changed to match what is possible in NWN.
The city has 4 sections
South  Low to middle class and the oldest part of town has a few shops and inns. The city jail, docks and the south gate can be found here.
West  Middle class with many shops, and a few nicer inns. The City Hall, entrance to the city park, and the North Quarter are here.
East  Middle to upper class area with a number of family manors and no shops or inns. The temples, guilds, and the North gate can be found here.
North  The Lord of Finmarks home and the city's military garison barracks and offices.

The module has 7 missions/jobs.

If starting at 1st level you should make 5th if you complete all adventures alone. All adventures have been tested with a PC up to level 10 and should scale for all levels.

These generalized titles give an idea of the kinds of missions.

  • What's in the Sewers
  • Save the Farmers
  • Find the Stolen Broach
  • A walk in the Swamp
  • Bug Hunt
  • Trouble to the South
  • The Tower Challenge

If you have a number of dungeon crawls done and need a city for a base let me know! Maybe we can put them together for version 2.0.

Pen and Paper History of Finmark

Phase 1
Quickly built on the border, the city was to act as an outpost for the Kings solders, a save port for ships and a trading post for the area. It's port was build for quick and easy load, a ramp was built to get to the top of the near by cliff. Using the new ramp a road along the border was built. The new road brought much trade from inland and the port from the sea. Many local land owners not only had less attacks, but with easy access to a market began producing much more produce. The king soon saw that the value of the new city and decided it needed to be expanded.

Phase 2
The city's wall were extented, more towers were built including the light towers in the bay, so ships could navigate safer. A new water system built so all most all of the city has water and sewer. A market was built near the city's gates for trading of local goods. The sale of lots in the city helped pay for the new walls, soon many new shops, homes, and warehouses were built. Churches were built so all could have a place to worship the gods of there choice. Now that the city was seen as important, it's control was given to a trusted noble. Having a section of the new city walled off he built a barracks and stables for the city's garrison along with a fine manor for his family. City revenue comes not only from taxes and fines but from the new training schools for fighters and Magic users.
